Want to save a YouTube video on your computer? If you like a certain video clip it's important to save a copy to your desktop. Videos get taken down from YouTube by their posters all the time. Here are a few tips on how to save YouTube videos on your computer.- Open YouTube and bring up the video you wish to copy.
Step 2- Copy the URL address from the address bar. Either right click -save target as, or select the entire address and then copy it.
Step 3- Sign up for a free trial at videodl.org. This is a file converting website that allows you to download videos and MP3's directly from the web and onto your computer. There are also a few other sites you might be familiar with that offer this same function.
Step 4- Paste the URL of your YouTube video into the field right above the words "get it".
Step 5- Click "get it". This will retrieve the videos link and display it below the search field.
Step 6- Copy and paste the video link into your download manager. Make sure to change the file extension to ".FLV" before downloading.
